Studio Policies & Etiquette

Mahalo for helping us maintain a safe, clean and respectful studio space by honoring our policies.

Bookings

All classes and sessions must be scheduled and confirmed via our booking site at happiebodypilates.com

Cancelations

We have a 24-hour cancelation policy. All cancelations can be made online through our booking site, or in-person only. Emails, texts, or DMs will not be accepted.

Expiration of Packages

All packages expire 90 days from the date of your first confirmed class or appointment. This ensures that you utilize our services within a timely manner to help facilitate the best results. Packages are not transferable, and they cannot be extended unless due to a medical condition that will require valid documentation from your healthcare provider.

Arrival Time

Please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your class or session for the check-in process. For safety and to avoid class disruption, you will not be permitted to enter any group class 5 minutes after class begins. If you are more than 5 minutes late, you will forfeit the session and will not be credited or refunded.

Waitlists

Our group classes do have waitlists. If you are not contacted about an opening, you may wait in person to take class in case of a no-show or late arrival past the 5 minute mark. Coming in-person does not guarantee a spot will be open and you do so at the risk of not being able to participate.

Private Pilates Session No-shows & Late Arrivals

For no-shows or late arrivals to a Private Pilates Session, your instructor will wait 30 minutes for your arrival. All no-shows and late arrivals past 30 minutes will be considered late cancellations and cannot be rescheduled or refunded. Late arrival sessions will still end after the originally scheduled time block of 60 minutes.

No Re-entry

You will not be permitted back into class if you leave studio premises while class is still in session.

Studio Equipment

Any studio equipment, including but not limited to Pilates apparatus, small apparatus, wall fixtures or ballet barres, may not be touched or used unless under the supervision of a Happie Body Pilates Instructor during a class or private session only.

Mobile Devices

For safety, the use of your phone is not allowed during any class or Private Pilates Session and all ringers must be off (this includes watch devices). Filming during any class is strictly prohibited due to privacy reasons. In cases of emergency, we ask that you please leave your phone with your belongings while class is in session.

Attire

For attire, it is best to wear somewhat form-fitting clothing so that the instructor can properly correct your form. Please wear undergarments for hygiene purposes and to be respectful to other clients and teachers present. Keep jewelry at a minimum to ensure your own safety and to prevent loss or damage to your items and studio equipment. For safety, long hair should be tied up and away from any equipment springs. In order to maintain the quality of the equipment, please do not wear clothing that has zippers on them.

Socks Etiquette

For hygiene purposes, no shoes are allowed on the gym mats (floor) and socks are required for all classes and appointments. Grippy socks are required for Apparatus Classes and Private Pilates Sessions. A variety of grippy socks are available for purchase at our studio for your convenience. All new clients will be gifted a pair of grippy socks, but it is the responsibility of the client to bring them to each class or session thereafter. If you forget your socks, you must purchase a pair or you will not be able to participate in the class or private session.

No Scents

Out of respect for our clients and teachers, please do not wear perfume or strongly scented lotions during classes or appointments.

No Gum

For your safety, please do not chew gum during classes or appointments.

Refund Policy

All sales are final.

Retail Sales

No refunds or exchanges on retail purchases, unless item is deemed faulty or due to an error on behalf of our staff. No refunds or exchanges will be issued due to change of mind or incorrect selection. Testers are available for wellness goods, and you may try on any retail item in the studio shop prior to purchasing.

Service Sales

Refunds will only be issued in case of a merchant processing error.

Lost Property

Happie Body Pilates is not responsible for personal items, either lost or stolen. Any lost property will be placed in a lost and found bin for no more than 10 days before being donated.

Minors

Minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Pets & Service Animals

Although we love your pets, they are not permitted in the studio unless they are a Certified Service Animal trained to perform a task for your specific disability. If your service animal displays any aggression or unwarranted behavior like barking, urinating, defecating, or is disruptive to the class or other clients in any way, they will need to leave the premises.

Manual Adjustments

Consent is a requirement of tactile feedback and physical touch. All clients have the right to consensual practice and will be given the option in every class to anonymously give consent for hands on adjustments. If you are not comfortable with manual stretches or adjustments, please let your instructor know.

Pre & Post Natal

A comprehensive screening by the Director of Health & Fitness is required for all prenatal clients. Prenatal clients may take any class or private session after the screening and approval until the second trimester. Second and third trimester clients may only take private sessions. Postnatal clients may not return unless they have written permission from their physician. Typically, this is 6 weeks after a natural birth and 12 weeks after a c-section surgery.

Intake Forms & Waivers

All clients are required to fill out our Health History Form, review and sign our Liability Waiver and agree to the terms of our studio policies before participating in their first class or appointment. All forms, waivers and policies are provided as part of the online booking requirements. If you have not filled out these forms, please allow at least 15 minutes prior to your first class or session to complete them online or in-person at the studio.

Photography & Filming

Classes may be filmed by Happie Body Pilates personnel for advertising purposes upon consent.
